Abstract
The interaction of strong shock and plasmas with multi-ionic species, single or multiple bubbles is studied by the hybrid fluid-PIC method, which enables the analysis of electromagnetic fields, ion mixing, and plasma viscosity self-consistently. It is found that the shock induces significant multi-ionic mixing, which has specific mixing process and morphology. We also found that the plasma conditions are changed in the mixed plasmas, which significantly increases the plasma viscosity, resulting in a noticeable impact on nonlinear hydrodynamic evolutions. Present results provide a better understanding of the shock-accelerated inhomogeneous flows caused by capsule imperfections during ICF implosions.
